Covid-19 Community Resources
We have seen some amazing acts of kindness and community in the last few weeks. If you are one of the many people who wish to make a difference for others and the community at this time please contact the resources below to be paired up with those in need in our communities.
CORE is currently offering the following services: running errands (pick-up and deliver groceries, medications, or mail), social support (e.g., friendly phone conversations), scheduling assistance (e.g., calling doctors, calling about medication), pet care (pet sit/dog walk), technology assistance via the phone or computer, or homework help.
This care network is a way to connect volunteers and organizations with people in need throughout Ashland, Washburn, Bayfield, Bad River, Marengo, Mellen, Red Cliff, Herbster, Cornucopia, Port Wing, and other communities we receive volunteers/support requests from. We are working in tandem with CORE Community Resources in Bayfield to coordinate volunteers and support requests, so you may hear from their staff throughout this process.
Thank you all for being patient as we spent this last week mapping out our communities’ resources and capabilities to develop systems of support. We are now live with a website, support request form, and a hotline you can call to request support.
