Thursday\, April 18th \n5:30 pm Reception at 522 Chapple Ave in Ashland | 7:00 pm Movie at Ashland’s Bay Theatre \nThank you for your interest in and support of PFLAG Washburn in the Chequamegon Bay area over the years! Please join us in celebrating our 15th Anniversary on Thursday\, April 18. Come to 522 Chapple Avenue (first floor) at 5:30 pm to see our new office. Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center will provide refreshments and mental health awareness. \nThen\, come to Ashland’s Bay Theatre for a 7:00 pm showing of the movie Prayers for Bobby. This movie was featured at PFLAG Washburn’s FIRST meeting in April\, 2009. The film features a mother who first prayed that her son\, Bobby\, would be “healed\,” then anguished when he died by suicide. Mary (played by Sigourney Weaver) became a crusader for LGBTQ+ people. Due to an anonymous gift\, admission is FREE. \nBecause of a generous grant from Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center\, FREE copies of The Little Book of Love from the Chequamegon Bay and The Divine Spark\, Second Edition will be given away.
