SUMMARY:Warren Nelson's Favorites
DESCRIPTION:American Heritage Productions of Washburn will present a show by Warren Nelson and Friends at Harbor Table in Washburn on Friday\, September 19 begining at 4:00 pm.\nThis show is entitled “Warren’s Favorites”\, including Warren’s choice from his 62 years of songwriting. Each song will come with a story. “I have written nearly 400 songs over the years\, beginning when I was in high school. I formed three groups in high school\, one of which performed for 10 weeks in an amphitheater in Medora\, North Dakota. Might be the best summer of my life.” \n\nI have chosen songs from the original musicals as well as those from my traveling days in the 1970s and my years with the Lost Nation String Band. The traveling years were with my group the “10th Story Window” from 1969 to 1971. We traveled extensively across the eastern and middle United States. Our highlight was playing the opening of the International Hotel in Las Vegas\, warming up for the Ike and Tina Turner Revue and Wayne Cochrane and the CC Riders. In the main showroom was Elvis Presley\, performing live for the first time in nine years. “Yes! I met Elvis twice!”
