DESCRIPTION:Houghton Depot Open Houses \nJuly 13\, July 27\, August 10\, August 24. All open houses are from 10 AM – 12 Noon. No charge. \nLocation: Houghton Depot\, Bayview Park (8 miles north of Washburn\, just off HWY 13) \nLook for the “Depot is Open” sign along HWY 13. Volunteers will be available to answer questions and operate the model railroad that runs the tracks through a model of Bayview and Houghton Village circa 1913. Explore the graffiti on the walls left by folks visiting the depot during its operation. Outside\, you’ll find artifacts and storyboards that help tell the history of the Bayview area and the people who lived and worked here\, including brownstone quarrying and the importance of railroad development.

No charge. \nLocation: Houghton Depot\, Bayview Park (8 miles north of Washburn\, just off HWY 13) \nLook for the “Depot is Open” sign along HWY 13. Volunteers will be available to answer questions and operate the model railroad that runs the tracks through a model of Bayview and Houghton Village circa 1913. Explore the graffiti on the walls left by folks visiting the depot during its operation. Outside\, you’ll find artifacts and storyboards that help tell the history of the Bayview area and the people who lived and worked here\, including brownstone quarrying and the importance of railroad development.
