Homecoming 2020 - The Washburn Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors along with the help of the Homecoming Planning Committee has decided to postpone Homecoming 2020 until July 23-25, 2021.

This was a very difficult decision to make and we waited as long as we could in order to gather as much information as possible to make an informed decision. We understand that this is disappointing to many but we do it with the health and safety of the community in mind.

Putting on an event of this size takes a lot of time and money. We depend heavily on the business community to help sponsor the event and at this time we feel it is more important to focus on supporting our local businesses and organizations to make it through these difficult times than to be reaching out to them for funds.

We want to thank everyone for their support and understanding at this time. We look forward to seeing you all in 2021!

North Coast Community Sailing - It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to you with our decision to cancel our 2020 sailing programming. With the evolving COVID-19 Pandemic and the importance of social distancing, we feel that waiting until the 2021 season is the responsible choice. The safety of your children and our staff is, as always, our primary concern. Please email us at info@recreationandfitnessresources.org if you have questions.

Northern Native Plant Sale - scheduled for May 30 has been canceled.

Superior Vistas Bike Tour - scheduled for June 27th has been cancelled. We hope you will join us for this fun event next year in 2021.

The Second Annual Chequamegon Bay Spark Competition- The Spark event hosted by CheqYes has been postponed, until further notice. Thank you to EVERYONE who applied for this year's Spark. We were blown away (yet again) by all of the great things happening in the Chequamegon Bay. The finalists, have been notified and announced on our Facebook page. We can't wait to see all of their presentations at Spark 2020!

We encourage anyone who was planning on purchasing a ticket(s) to use that money to help support our small businesses. We look forward to planning an outstanding event for 2021. Stay safe and healthy.
