Grab a pumpkin & get creative for the Washburn Hardware & Sport Pumpkin Carving Contest. There are 2 youth categories (scariest, cutest), an adult category (overall design) & the business category. Pumpkins must be dropped off at the store on Wednesday, Oct. 29th during business hours. Pumpkins will be displayed through Oct. 31st. Each pumpkin MUST have a 2-inch hole drilled / carved out of the middle of the back for proper display lighting in the store and MUST be accompanied by an index card with the following information written legibly on it or your pumpkin will not be eligible for display or judging:

• Name
• Age
• Phone
• Category you are entering

Judging will take place on Thursday, Oct 30th. This will be a peoples choice vote! Stop by the chamber to cast your vote. Pumpkins MUST be picked up On Friday the 31st before noon or they will be disposed of. Winners will be announced October 31st. There will be prizes for each category. Kids in need of a pumpkin can visit the Washburn Public Library on Oct. 27th starting at 1pm to pick up a pumpkin & carving kit (supplies may be limited).
