Washburn Cultural Center
Housed in the historic 1890 brownstone Washburn Bank building, the Washburn Cultural Center has art galleries, public and private meeting spaces, the Washburn Area Historical Society Museum, an antique store, an art and gift shop, and the Vinyl Vault, the South Shore’s only record store. Hours of operation vary by season.
Washburn Community Education Foundation
In 1999 the Washburn Community Education Foundation was established to increase the Washburn area’s potential as an inspirational place to work, play, learn, and teach. The foundation provides financial support for creative and innovative educational opportunities for all age groups within or outside the jurisdiction of the Washburn school system.
Washburn Beautification Foundation
As one of the oldest service organizations in the area, Washburn Beautification Foundation members are dedicated to improving the quality of life of residents and visitors by planting flowers, plants, and shrubs. They also oversee seasonal decorations throughout Washburn’s residential and commercial areas.
The Garland City Consort
The Garland City Consort is the Chequamegon Bay’s chamber orchestra. Founded in 2016 and performing actively since then, the Consort is a musician-owned ensemble bringing Baroque music alive.

North Coast Cycling Association
North Coast Cycling Association (NCCA) is a non-profit organization formed to promote bicycling in Bayfield and Ashland Counties. Our area has some of the most scenic cycling routes in the state. NCCA host numerous events throughout the year such as Bike Across the Bay, a fat bike race on Lake Superior in February.
Historic Civic Center Foundation (The Club)
The Club is a community recreation center that is being renovated to provide space, programming, and opportunities to gather together.
